About the word "Renaissance"

Webster defines “renaissance” as being a “re-birth”, or simply “to be born again”. Historically the Renaissance was the day or age of “enlightenment” following the era known as “the dark ages”. Individually it is the very same thing for us. It is the re-birth of the spirit (the will) whereby we receive a new heart, even a new nature (name), when the true Light shines when the darkness is past.

And you know what? No man can teach you "Revelation". In other words, no man can have a renaissance, a re-birth, in your stead... because one cannot give his or her experiences to another person. You can only tell them about them. And just as no one can be born for you, no one can give birth for you. You must go through the process yourself if you are to bring forth a son. I mean, you can study and study childbearing books and believe every word they say is true. But until you yourself conceive, until the vrigin Mary within you, the woman (your soul) who has not known a man, becomes impregnated with the Spirit of the Father, and you go through the spiritual labor pangs and give birth to a son, you will never "know". The best you can do is just continue to believe until the day comes you do know.

Brief History

Lance began studying the Bible on a daily basis as a teenager in the late '60s, and before he was twenty he was into the Hebrew and Greek languages seeking a more in-depth understanding of the scriptures. He attended a Christian college, became a member of the Worldwide Church of God, and then in the early '80s he began studying with the Shepherd's Chapel located in Gravette, AR.

Lance started an online ministry and began having Bible studies in 1996. In June of 1999 he founded and began pastoring The King's Chapel, an independent church whose primarily mission was to teach the Bible line by line and chapter by chapter in the quest for accurate scriptural knowledge and Biblical understanding as pure to the original Hebrew, Chaldean, and Greek texts as possible. To that end, Lance published over 60 books and commentaries on the the books of the Bible and produced hundreds of audio tapes and CDs. He held weekly local church services and hosted both spring and fall assemblies where many were baptized. However, the biggest part of his ministry was his online outreach Bible teachings that registered readers and students in the multiple thousands all across the United States and Canada.

Then in April of 2005, Lance experienced a true renaissance much like the blinding revelation of the Light shining from above that Saul/Paul experienced in Acts chapter 9, and to which many witnesses have openly attested and who did also "see" the light. That would forever change his life and the lives of many who studied with him. He declared that "church" was over and all the publications and recorded messages were taken down from the website and no longer made available.

Occassionally over the next five years, Lance wrote and recorded a few articles, some of which are still available on this website. The details of what happened to him and to others can be found in his brief nine part series on the beginning verses of the Revelation of Jesus Christ (click on "Articles" in the top menu).

And now the darkness is past and the true Light now shines, a Light that cannot be hid.

Therefore... let the Renaissance begin.
